Our #DriveHope Campaign Raised $2,500!
Thank you! Thanks to your participation in our Drive Hope Campaign, we were able to raise $2,500 for Metropolitan Family Service’s “Ways to Work” program. The campaign really helped spread the word about MFS and Point West as well – in total, we reached nearly 100,000 people via social media or in-person at local events… wow! It’s an impressive number, and one that shows the true potential of our cooperative and community working together.
The “Ways to Work” program helps low-income families get into quality vehicles with low-rate, affordable loans. For some parents, getting to work can be such a challenge they run the risk of losing their jobs, not to mention the added stress of getting kids to childcare and to school. The ability to access affordable loans to purchase, repair, or refinance a car can be life-changing for working parents. As part of the national Ways to Work program, MFS is getting parents on the road when they need it most.
A huge thank you to Metropolitan Family Service, Portland Pedal Power and our good friend the Unipiper for helping make our summer campaign the best yet. To everyone that shared “What drives you” via social media, we salute and thank you – you are all a truly inspiring group of folks. Congratulations to our lucky VISA gift card winners as well!
